Skin Routine (B)

Hi Lovlies

I trust you are having a great day.
Sequel to my post yesterday, here is the complete skincare routine.

TONE
Always use a toner after cleansing your face. This repairs any damage the skin may be undergoing and restores it to its original state. Ensure you stay away from pretty harsh toners. This could cause reaction and outbreak on your skin.

MOISTURIZE
Moisturizer lotions and cream is a must have in your beauty routine. This enables water retention and prevents your skin from dehydration. It also gives your skin that supple and fresh looking touch. A good number of moisturizers can be obtained from cosmetic shops anywhere. Have in mind though your skin type. An oily skin normally should avoid oily moisturizers.
It is also a good base for facial makeup. It helps in prepping up your skin before your makeup is carried out.

SUN PROTECT
Sunscreen! Sunscreen! More sunscreen! There are times the sun is so harsh, you feel it actually burning your skin. Always wear a sunscreen advisably with SPF 30 especially if your activities mostly involves outdoor. This prevents UV rays from gaining direct contact with your skin.
Sunscreens come in lotions and sprays. Personally I prefer sprays because I get to use it repeatedly during the day depending on how much time I spend outdoor.

Lastly, I advise lots and lots of fluid intake. Water precisely. You can never go wrong with drinking water. It hydrates your body, maintains your body pH, serves as a detox ( I mix water and lime once a while).

Don't forget to maintain your beauty sleep. Your routine works a lot better on a skin that gets a decent sleep.

Stay beautiful!

Skincare Routine (Part A)

Hi Lovelies

A good skin is universal and if you are in the beauty industry, then its a must have. Don't kill yourself yet if you're battling with skin troubles. There's a way out Honey. It's a gradual process but you will get there eventually. Do you have a beauty care routine? How consistent are you at it? Our bodies function better based on consistency.

Today I'm going to talk about my regimen skincare routine. Its nothing fancy. I don't go out of my way to get expensive products. Actually, my routine deals more with home made recipes and few beauty products (highly affordable too).

I divide them basically into 5 groups

Cleanse
Exfoliate
Tone
Moisturize
Sun protect

CLEANSE
This is basically the most important to me. I can't do without cleansing my face. Its an essential routine because it does a more deeper cleansing than just washing your face with soap and warm water.
Cleansers come in different kinds for different skin types. A dry skin should go for an oily cleanser with lower percentage of alcohol. Alcohol is a strong drying agent and would be harsh for dry skin but suitable for oily skin. Very good cleansers can be obtained from any good cosmetic shops or drugstore.

Another deep cleansing routine involves the face steaming. Its a home routine and I don't need to visit a spa for that. You basically need a bucket, a towel, a steaming bowl of water. Pour the steaming water into a bucket, place your head directly over the bucket so that the steam goes directly into your face. Cover your head with the towel to minimise heat loss. The steam dissolves the oil and dirt hidden in your pores. Wash your face with soap and rinse with cold water to close up your pores. Ta da! You got yourself a fresh face.

EXFOLIATE
Exfoliation like every other routine is important. However, I advise it should be done sparingly (once a week works the magic). Apricot scrubs are cool, could be a bit harsh though while St. Iyves products works a magic on the skin. Get the particular brand suitable for your skin type and pamper your skin.

The rest of the routine will be in my next write up. Keep a date.

Stay beautiful!
